Lepus photo started when I retired from the Fire Service and had to find something to do with my time and make use of the many photographs of wildlife and other subjects I had accumulated over recent years. Following numerous suggestions that I should sell my photos I've taken the plunge.
If want to see me and my work in person I can be found attending the regular Be Happy makers market at the Hornsea Village outlet (the first Sunday of each month).
On this site I mainly sell digital artwork based on my photographs (My photographs are available on my other websites via the link button below) as I decided to branch out by adding something different alongside my photographs. I use my photographs to create digital works of art where the original images are digitally reworked into an oil painting style picture.
I occasionally get requests from artists, to use my photos as reference materials, so I have created a website called Hares-for-artists. Here artists can use my photographs of hares (and other animals) in various poses as their reference material. These photos are free to use but you will need to contact me for copies of the photos as they can't be directly downloaded. The website link is below.
I also restore and add colour to old black and white photos - I have been working on restoring old black & white photos with varying success (see the results on the restored Black & White photos page). I have to say that some results work out better than others due to the state of the original photo. For instance I can't make blurred photos sharp but by adding colour it may bring out more detail. If you would like me to see if I can restore and colour your old photos please contact me to discuss it.

Larger artwork as Giclee prints, canvas and mounted prints are priced dependent on size and media, please contact me to discuss your interests, I'm happy to do bespoke products.
I have printed some Giclee prints which are on the Giclee web page and individually priced from £15 each including a mount (postage is extra). The size shown on the Giclee web page is mounted ready for a frame of your choice i.e 12" x 8" print has a mount (frame) size of 16" x 12". They are museum quality prints on Bockingford watercolour paper with acid free mounts.
I have a limited number of frames to fit 16" x 12" mounts that can be supplied with any Giclee print (12" x 8") for a cost of £30 inclusive (see Giclee frame page for styles).
If you have any old photographs ( colour, black & white(or a negatives) that you would like restoring (and for black & white, colour adding) please get in touch and I will see what I can do. Depending on the work needed, prices start at as little as £5 per photo restored.
